I'm an idiot

Well, I'm a complete and utter idiot it seems.

On Friday night, I fell down the stairs. Matthew and I were up in the bedroom... ummm... checking for paint cracks on the ceiling and I took a little nap afterwards (there's a lot of ceiling to check, it tires me out sometimes!!!). When I woke up and realized the time (almost midnight) I figured I better go downstairs.

Naturally, I am groggy when I wake up so I completely mis-judged the top step and came crashing down. Luckily it was only 5 steps until the landing but I tell ya, it hurt! Matthew completely freaked out and screamed "ARE YOU OK?" and started to panic a little. Poor thing looked like a deer caught in the headlights (he loves me, he loves me! hahaha). It was great for me because I was too busy telling him to calm down and to sit down to think about the pain I was in. I slowly got up and came down the rest of the steps.

My right arm (but mostly my hand) is quite sore but not broken. Two of my fingers and my wrist are banged up and were bleeding. Currently I have this big black bruise on my right ass cheek and it's sore. Aren't you glad I didn't take pictures of my injuries now? :) Basically my entire right side is sore but I will live.

It's been a couple days since it happened so I can think back on it and chuckle. I asked Matthew about it last night and he thought I had hit my head and knocked myself unconcious. That's why he freaked out. He said he would have dialed 911 if I wouldn't have responded to him. Thankfully that didn't happen because I had no clothes on!!!

So, the moral of the story is... wear clothes when walking down the steps because if you fall and hurt yourself, you may just end up as a funny story for the paramedics.

I'M GOING TO WRITE ABOUT THIS IN MY BLOG!!!!

We were sitting on the couch waiting for supper to cook and I was fucking around as per usual (making fun of idiotic commercials, etc) when Matthew looks over and says to me...

"You're cute... when you're quiet!"

Now he's pouting as I write this... a big fat lip and everything. He said he was only kidding and I do believe him. I'm just writing about it here for pure entertainment value.

I may be cute when I'm quiet, but he's cute all the time.

The response should have been "I have a manhole!"

Matthew was out shovelling the end of the driveway and a service truck from the city pulled up. A guy came out of the van and approached him saying "Hey, do you know there's a manhole under there?" and pointed at a huge bank of snow over 6 feet high. Matthew looked where the guy was pointing and responded with "Somewhere".

When we came home from work the entire area was gouged out from what looks like some perfectly crafted machine for the sole purpose of uncovering random manholes. The manhole itself hadn't been uncovered so I'm assuming they are coming back to do the work next Monday.

When pondering the large gap in our yard I had an evil thought... what if we located the manhole and made a huge snowman on top of it?
